Peter Muthubi rewarded with a Comrades Gold medal.

Nedbank Green Dream Team athlete, Peter Muthubi officially received his gold medal from Mr. Peter Proctor, vice chairman of the Comrades marathon association here at a prize giving ceremony that was held at CBC Old BOYS on Thursday 5 AUGUST 2010.
Peter moved into 10th position to earn a solid 1 once Comrades gold medal after the disqualification of Sergio Moetsoneng who was tested positive for a banned substance.

Mr. Peter Proctor also handed out the rest of the gold medals to the Nedbank athletes that performed so well this year in the Comrades marathon.

The Nedbank running club Gauteng North ladies senior team received their Comrades Marathon Association shields from Mr. Proctor for the winning team in this year’s race by beating the previous record by one minute and 8 seconds.

The veteran ladies team also won their category in the team prizes and they were also rewarded with their trophies that were held back till all the drug tests have been cleared by Drug Free South Africa.

The last man home trophy was shared by George Gravitt and Anton  Terblanche.
Last Nedbank running Club woman’s runner home was Cecile Balkema.
