Nedbank Running Club Vaal Triangle clubhouse at Kollege Park Primary school (Glanville street) Vanderbilpark

Warm greetings to all of our Vanderbijlpark club members. Welcome to 2023 and we wish all our members a year full of great performances and achievements. A big and hearty welcome to all new members and wishing you all a winning experience with a winning club in the Vaal Triangle in 2023. Please encourage your family and friends to join us as well.

Gerda Pretorius will handle all club related enquiries as well as all running gear. Gerda’s contact number is 072 209 9906. She will be available at the clubhouse on Tuesday’s from 17:00.

Registration 2023  

Registration can be done in the following manner:

 Members can register at the clubhouse on Tuesdays from 17:00 or they can register using the process set out below.

• ASA as well as the Nedbank Running Club’s registration forms have to be completed.
• You can obtain the necessary forms for your 2023 registration by open the following attached links:

• If you have problems obtaining the forms via the links, you are more than welcome to request these forms from me. Just sent your email address to johanstr2@gmail.com and the forms will gladly be forwarded to you.
• Please complete all forms and email it with your proof of payment to the email address of Pierre Pretorius pierre@megasurfwifi.co.za. Please send me your Proof of Payment to my email address, johanstr2@gmail.com, as well. I’m responsible for the finances of the Club and will need it for reconciliation purposes.
• The 2023 fees is available on the Nedbank Running Club registration form.
• Suggestion from my side is to download the requested forms and complete it before you go to the Club to register. That will save you valuable time.
• ASA numbers have to be collected at the clubhouse on Tuesdays from 17:00, when they are available. We will let our members know when they can pick up the 2023 licenses.
• Payment for license and membership fees can be done directly in the following Nedbank account:

Time Trials

Starting time for our weekly time trials will be on Tuesday’s at 17:30 from the Clubhouse.

Rules for winning the monthly price:

• Competition is open to only Nedbank club members
• Available distances you can choose from is  2,4,6 or 8 kilometers
• Athletes have to compete in at least three (3) time trials during the specific month to be eligible for the price
• The winner of the price will be determined by a lucky draw if there are more than one athlete who have completed the three (3) time trials
• The winner will be decided on the last time trial for the month. The monthly winner will be rewarded with a gift voucher. Photo of the winner with his/her price and in Nedbank colors will be taken and published in the next edition of the monthly Nedbank Vanderbijlpark newsletter

Cross Country 2023

Dates and leagues will be communicated as soon as it becomes available.

• ASA Championships will take place on 16 September 2023 in Gqeberha

Road Running 2023

• ASA Marathon Championships will take place on 12 March 2023 in Durban
• ASA Half Marathon Championships will take place on 3 June 2023 in Gqeberha
• ASA 10km Championships will take place on 4 November 2023 in Mbombela

Track & Field 2023

• ASA Junior championships will take place in Pietermaritzburg from the 23^rd to the 25^th of March ’23.
• The ASA Senior championships will take place from the 29^th to the 1^st of April ‘23 in Potchefstroom.
• There will be three events in the Grand Prix series and the date at this stage will be on the 4^th, 11^th, and the 17^th of April ‘23.
• AVT will not have any League meetings, but CGA and AGN do have and North West will start with Leagues in February‘23.
• The District Championships will be on the 24^th of February ’23 which will include Sedibeng, AVT and Sedibeng West at the DP de Villiers stadium.

These dates were confirmed by the provinces, but it is subject to change. Athletes to make sure that the dates are correct before making any arrangements for travelling and accommodation etc.

Fun Run Series February/March/April 2023

The series will start on the 10^th of February 2023 and will conclude on the 14^th of April 2023. Please see the flyer for all information. We urge our members to support the series and thereby support your Club.
