As we move into the third week of January, the Nedbank running club continues to top many podiums around the country as the race calendar moves on at a steady pace. Or a fast pace in the case of the Nedbank running club athletes!
Continuing her winning form from last weeks Dischem Half Marathon, Chrizell Roberts took victory in the George Claassen 10km in a time of 39:33. Roberts is looking for a big improvement in this years Comrades Marathon later in June.
Down in Kzn, the extremely tough Kearsney Striders Half Marathon was won by Nedbank running club’s Elvis Mjaja who took victory in 1:13:24 which is considered a fast time given the nature of the course.
Former Two Oceans winner George Ntshiliza made a nice return to the podium finishing 3rd overall and 1st vet in the N2 City Bluewater bay 15km running a time of 51:07
In Potchefstroom, Deanne Horn took victory in the Bert’s Bricks 10km in a quick 37:24
