Nedbank Running Club on the podiums around the Country
September 11, 2019
Yet another weekend of action on the roads around the Country and plenty of podium finishes for the green clad Nedbank running club athletes, a sight all too familiar in athletic circles around the Country.

It was not only on the roads but on the cross country to, where Nedbank Soweto development running club member Brendon Lentswe became the South African cross-country champion over the 4km distance. An elated Coolboy Ngamole, an Olympic athlete and Nedbank RC member himself showed joy after the race. “I am so happy that Brendon pulled off the win today after all the hard work he put in,” said Ngamole who also coaches Lentswe. “Im so proud of Brendon, he really made my day, and this also wouldn’t be possible without the support of Nedbank running club for supporting my boys and girls.”

The future of South Africa was also on show and in the girls u/11 3km event, tiny Selna van As from Nedbank RC AVT running in her Nedbank RC colours kept the crowd on thei feet with her gutsy run in the 3km Girls 11 taking victory in 10:31. They say dynamite comes in small packages and this was the case!
