Nedbank RC athletes still dominate at Northgate

Another year, another race but still the Nedbank Running Club athletes are making their presence felt during the running of the Northgate 10km-race in Johannesburg.

The “Green Team” made a clean sweep in the men’s race with Phillimon Mathiba winning in 30.56s, Jonas Mathiba raced to a second place finish running 31.43 with Derocious Makhobalo third in 32.17.

Joka Mamorola won the women's race running 36:40. Andronica Mokgotla was second in 38:55.

Siyaya Khoza (Nedbank RC Soweto Manager) is quite proud of the fact that his athletes have been dominating the race for the last four years with one of the men or women winning it.

** Bulelwa Simae (Nedbank RC) finished third in the Avbob Eersterivier 15km. Her time was 57:00. She was also the first veteran to cross the finish line.

**Brendon Effenaar (Nedbank RC) was second in the 4km at a cross country meeting in Port Elizabeth. He clocked 14:55.

Ntombesintu Mfunzi (Nedbank RC) showed a clean pair of heels in the women’s 10km race winning in 41:54.

Another good result was Siena de Vos (Nedbank RC) finishing third in the women’s 4km race. Her time was 21:27.

**At a cross country meeting at the Kaapzicht Wine Estate outside Kuilsrivier Xolisa Batala (Nedbank RC) finished second in the men’s 10km race. His time was 33:51.

Khaya Butele (Nedbank RC) won the men’s 4km race in 12:16. Vuyiseka Nkumenge was second in the women’s 10km race running 39:51.

** In KwaZulu-Natal  Ntokozo Mkhize finished second in the Forest Hills 10km race. Her time was 38:41.
