Start the New Year Right, enter the Old Mutual Om Die Dam Marathon
January 11, 2017

January is upon us and with it comes the New Year's Resolutions that we promised ourselves we won't break this year. Honour those challenges, and start by entering the Old Mutual Om Die Dam Ultra Marathon and Half Marathon today!

This is SA's largest inland ultra-marathon, with over 7000 participants, and the Old Mutual Om Die Dam Marathon 50km has consistently been ranked as one of the top races in the country. If you have run this race before, you will understand why! What makes this race special is not just the amazing scenery, but also the immense sense of community, notably the special 'morale lifters' at the water-points.

We also have some exciting news for you! The race is moving to a new venue, the Schoemansville Oewer Club, which also means a slightly revised route. Situated on the banks of the Hartbeespoort Dam, this venue offers rolling green lawns that will be perfect for that post-race picnic with the family, where you can sit and cool your feet in the water after your run.

Entries are going quickly for the 27th edition of this classic race, so if you want to be one of the lucky runners who will receive a technical race T-shirt with your entry, then the time to enter is now! Avoid that #FOMO feeling of not having one come race day, and remember, the 50km ultra-marathon and the half marathon are strictly pre-entry only.
