One week left for 2017 Comrades Early Bird Entries
September 23, 2016
Runners are reminded that there is only one week remaining until 2017 Comrades Marathon Early Bird Entries come to an end.
The Comrades Marathon Association (CMA) has announced that the reduced entry fee of R420 applicable exclusively to South African runners is valid for the month of September only.

The regular price of R460 will come into effect as of 1 October 2016 until the entry process is closed on 30 November 2016 or as soon as the 20,000 entry cap has been reached. So far, entries stand at over 7600. View the entry barometer at www.comrades.com for an updated entry count.

Interestingly, Comrades entries are being taken up quicker than in recent years. The CMA has therefore urged athletes to enter as soon as possible in order to avoid disappointment.

The CMA has some exciting plans in place to cater for its runners and to make the 2017 Comrades Marathon finish that much more achievable.

CMA General Manager, Chris Fisher says, “The CMA will lend greater focus on our novice runners by hosting a series of Bonitas Comrades Novice Seminars and Bonitas Roadshows to motivate and support our athletes.”

Fisher adds, “In support of our female runners, five Bonitas Women’s Seminars have been scheduled over the months of February and March 2017. The CMA Marketing Team is also currently attending qualifying events across the country where runners can engage and interact with them.”

Entry fees for the 2017 Comrades Marathon are as follows:
• Local Entries            : R 460.00
• Rest of Africa           : R 770.00
• International           : R2650.00
